Welcome to Follow the Sun, a family-run camp where we would like to introduce you to warm, authentic Bedouin hospitality. Our camp is designed to offer a peaceful and immersive desert experience, allowing you to connect with nature while enjoying the comforts of traditional Bedouin life.

The camp

Follow the Sun Camp is set in within the Wadi Rum protected area, surrounded by towering mountains, deep canyons, and endless sand dunes. Our camp offers a serene and inviting atmosphere, giving you the opportunity to escape the bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the desert’s calm. With beautiful views, cozy seating areas, and a welcoming ambiance, the camp is the perfect base for exploring the desert.

Bedouin tents

Our traditional Bedouin tents are built to offer comfort while preserving the authentic style of Bedouin nomadic life. Each tent is spacious, clean, and equipped with comfortable bedding, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of adventure. The tents are designed to keep you cool during the day and warm at night.

Our facility

We take pride in providing a well-maintained and comfortable facility. Along with our Bedouin tents, we offer clean bathroom facilities, including hot showers, so you can refresh after a day in the desert. Every night, gather around the campfire for stories and conversation, while sipping on traditional Bedouin tea. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.

Our food

At Follow the Sun Camp, food is a key part of the Bedouin experience. We serve traditional meals made with fresh, local ingredients, including slow-cooked lamb, rice, flatbread, and salads. Come experience our “zarb” cooking method, where meats and vegetables are slow-cooked in the ground, creating a tender, flavorful meal. We also cater to different dietary preferences, ensuring everyone can enjoy the taste of authentic Bedouin cuisine.

Costs: 20 JOD per person

Please note: The entry fee to the protected area of Wadi Rum is not included in our rates. The fee is 5 JOD per person and must be paid upon arrival at the Visitor’s Center. If you have a Jordan Pass, the entrance fee is already covered.
